Do you think that a referendum could be held regarding cancelling that dreadful South-Easterly wind?

It seems grossly unfair that only the crony capitalists and pinko commies living off the state are able to live in suburbs that are sheltered from its wrath, while the hoi poloi are forced to deal with its rigours throughout the long summer months.

This is a great injustice, as everyone should be able to choose whether or not to associate with this South-Easter.

Those that choose the extreme wind could in turn secede and practice their kite surfing and other witchcraft while not imposing on the rights of others. Blouberg might be a good location for this windswept realm.

Sometimes I think you're loon #1 here :-/

that seems to clash somewhat with your earlier comment:
If we define our terms and apply them to the ideal, we get something like this:

'The people' derives from a common set of morals.. Those morals are then codified into law.

So, now you have a morally homogeneous nation. Where the law can be enforced equally, with no excuses that the law favors certain individuals/groups over others.

The rest would be up to the market to decide.

If at some point further down the line, a subgroup emerges that rejects some of the rules(because their core values have changed), then they can split off and either go it alone as a new nation, ascede to an existing nation(with approval by that nation), or - in the case their numbers are not strong enough for a sustainable break-away movement/nation - they can decide to bide their time in the existing jurisdiction until such time as they are ready to leave the mothership.

Footnote:
Do you see that the problem is actually not complex to solve, but rather it is difficult to solve.

A simple solution is not necessarily an easy one to implement.

And the explanation of why it is difficult, is offered in the 'my theory' post, from Sunday.

It is, lexy just doesn't like the choice the people have made so far,
Some people have made...

The WC people have consistently voted against the government they get for over 30 years.

so his solution is to burn it all to the ground cos it will be better.
I think you had perhaps better retract that claim.

Until you can back it up with a quote.

Bits and pieces of land with various independence stances can't work unless people become more respectful of each other. Else it really is a step backwards towards the days of villages

Anyway, start comparatively small, just make the (huge) jump to one simple separation. After that is the time to plan further, surely

You could make the case for the reverse....

People become less respecting of each other unless their borders become, or remain, self-determined. As opposed to other-determined.

p.s. If one were to adhere to the former, one would probably want the scope of respect to be as small as possible so as to be as universably acceptable as possible.

So for example you could make the case that people should be free to choose their associates, no ifs ands or buts.

To me, if you can't agree to this, then you cannot defend yourself as being allegedly anit-slavery.

Slavery is merely the legal right to override someone else's freedom to exercise their FoA. If they don't like a whipping every morning, they should legally be able to say, I'm exiting this association, like it or not.

Association is only free when both parties consent to it.

Could you really? Sounds like Viking type days of old to me, would certainly lead to much blood being spilled IMHO.

How do we get the WC-ians to see the light of what dangers lie ahead?

That's all I'm currently really interested in... bye

Yes..... really.

The reason is explained in the 'my theory' post, from Sunday.

Here is the link, again...

^ This also explains the psychology comment, earlier. As well as the abuse of the term 'psyche'(from yesterday).

But will you clue the WC-ians into the dangers of what lie ahead if they were to choose independence?

You have to give them all the information to make a properly informed decision.

Moving in the opposite direction to Marxism would be a pretty good start.

Given their 32-year voting track record, they appear to agree.

What dangers lie ahead for Capeans where they are no longer bound by racist legal code, for instance(that has applied to foreigners, too), or an ongoing trillion Rand club, a blue light brigade, or by a bureaucracy that is the relatively highest-paid in the world with more of the same baked into the cake?

Leave you daydream fantasies in the toilet pleez

As soon as it became clear that the ANC were becoming irreversibly corrupt, sometime during the later part of Zuma's rule. Why?

Not my fantasies.

As to why, I believe I have been quite clear before, a number of times. This wide-eyed innocence speaks volumes :)

Exackerly.

Anything lexie doesnt agree with must go. Or be called names like "Pinko coward" :)

people "A" & people "B":

people "a" insist the shared border with people "b" should be situated a further 20km west from its current location.
People "b" insist the shared border should be situated 30km east from it's current location.

who gets to determine the position of the shared border ?

who gets to determine the position of the shared border ?

A duly constituted and independent review body called "People C", whom both parties agree to pay for their services and abide by the ruling.

At which point People "A" and People "B" disagree, and go to war anyway.

Lol, the puppy speaking of wide-eyed innocence. Gotta love it, *pat, pat*

Let's take a moment to remember this:

In the entire 32-year history of the Rainbow Project, the WC people have never once gotten the government they voted for, and have practically zero chance of changing that, given the ongoing trajectory.

SA as a union held together by political slogans, Leftist platitudes, and sport, would benefit greatly by having a choice between Socialism and free markets.

A mixed-economy always leads to Socialism, and Socialism to Communist-style collapse.

Ummm, every single time the WC people have voted they have got the government they voted for lexy, regardless of how much you dislike the outcome.

The WC is a part of RSA and their vote has counted precisely how much it should towards the national vote count.

So, having never got the government they voted for, you believe they should get the government that they voted for even less. 🤔
