Ok so im getting internet again (as i moved houses) and instead of going uncapped like before, im pretty much tempted to go capped.

So far its been dissapointing:

Web Africa - have anytime data then after hours data - im sorry in these days, total ****e especially on capped.

RSAWEB - Rediculas pricing

Afrihost, Axxess, Cybersmart - Generally for like say 100GB, its R200 odd. which is ok i guess but still finding that pretty high, if you compare it to uncapped pro's vs cons

CrystalWeb - not sure about their service and performance, but their prices are FAR greater than any other ISP about R170-R200 more for the same amount of data, considering they are fairly new to the scene, makes me cringe.

OpenWeb - ****ty rep but also do the same rubbish as Webafrica with certain amount of data during certain times of the day

So in this case, do i just grin and bear going uncapped, considering i do work, but in odd occasions i do work from home (mostly weekends) and at night.

I am an avid gamer, steam updates, ping, etc concern me.

Advice? :) anyone

so basically you want cheap capped data that works?

not happening...

If your only gripe with WebAfrica is the night-time data silliness, just consider their packages without that. It ends up looking more expensive of course, but I decided to ignore the night time data because I really never expect to use it and so far I'd say I'm getting my money's worth.

You can pay cheap, dirt cheap and be faced with 4 month cycle of capacity issues...

1. The Web Africa night data is perfect for your steam downloads.

2. Crystal Web is more expensive as they are pushing a quality product. Unlike some other ISPs that cut down on quality to sell you cheap data.

3. Afrihost isn't really good for anything besides big downloads.

Basically your problem is that you've never heard this saying before:

You can cheap, good and fast. Choose two.

Basically you have the right outlook, but you can't have your cake and eat it.

Web Africa is cheap because night data is cheap to provision. Crystal don't have night data so are more expensive.

That's just the way it works.
