Very interesting ... thanks. I just want to add the Toyota RSI at 8.8secs at reef 
That puts it .2sec and .6sec behind the Fiesta ST and mighty Polo GTI respectivly. Take the standard +-6 percent difference, driver error, reaction times, gear shifts etc and are you telling me the Polo takes the other two everytime by many car lengths?
At worst if take it every single time as you claim, I suspect its close at the reef. At the coast though, I'd suspect the RSI to have the edge.
As mentioned, I've been ahead of both an ST and Golf 4 110kw which ties in with what I see in other tests (and logic)
