I know there is a grocery specials thread, how about a vehicular one?

I saw Ford is selling Fiesta 1.0 Ambientes for R189 000.00 and thought that is actually a pretty good deal. Why would anyone buy a Kwid or a Go?

Ford is having some decent prime - specials at the moment with pre-negotiated rates.

Because a Kwid or Go is not R189k? about R60k difference between them and this deal.

Still both POS cars though...

Not sure why anyone would buy a kwid when you can pick up a 1 year old Sandero for the same amount of money or even less...
My Father in law got a Sandero at R117k with 20 000km on the clock.
Much better than the Kwid.

There is no such thing as a special on a car.

Mokka X starting at R289 500, any SUV at less than R300k looks like a good deal, compared to the likes of the useless C-HR or the hideous Juke makes this deal even sweeter.

That's pretty cool.

Ever sit in the back seat of a Juke? The windows and arm rests are just all in the wrong place. It's a disaster inside even more than outside if you ask me:D

That I support 100%, I am a big fan of low mileage used cars, cheaper, in most cases better specced and generally much, much more value for you money.

His comment did not make sense to me since it's obvious that a Kwid is cheaper than a Fiesta and we all know that counts for a lot in our tough economy but if you come with a better used car option to counter why someone shouldn't buy a Kwid then that is understandable, although we know how scared people are of used cars.

Ford has to have good deal to get clients to buy their cars, after the kuga mess which is still on going.

I should have added that I did actually agree with your comment :D

I normally post car specials when I see dem ads on car sites. I post them in the respective car threads. I think any cool deals I come across I'll pop it in this all-in-one thread.

Why would anyone buy any of those? The Ford will send you to an early grave in a ball of fire, the Renault's electronics will cut out all the damn time and possibly send you to an early grave when you get stuck on a railway crossing with an oncoming train and the Datsun has no airbags or ABS ... again ... early grave ;)

I normally get those "4 days only" deals from BMW.

To be brutally honest tho, I dont think its a special as such, even though they do give great financing deals (prime -5 if I am not mistaken).

Its almost as if they hike the price on the car to make up for a the good financing. Quick example, they had a demo 2016 320d for R770k :erm:

Ill post, when I they have a promotion again.

FTFY

Please may you back up this statement with any Fiesta's blowing up? As well as Renault's being unreliable across the range from the last 4 years?
