Cell C 3G

Not sure what your guys are talking about - the 65502 stuff

If your handset picks up Cell C under the network selection, once 3.5G is launched and your Sim card is correctly provisioned for HSPA+, you will be able to use the service - - - PROVIDED your handset is 3G enable on the 900MHz band.

Dude SA 02 is Telkom Mobile, I know because im currently using the network. We got a separate section for it on mybroadband.

Cell C 3G would read as the Cell C network. If you have a device that supports W-CDMA 900 you will pick it up.Like in my case, Iv got all network coverage

  • VodaCom (GSM 900 / W-CDMA 2100)
  • MTN (GSM 900 / W-CDMA 2100)
  • Cell C (GSM 900|1800 / W-CDMA 900|2100)
  • SA 02 aka Telkom Mobile (GSM 1800 / W-CDMA 2100)

Its a sad case, but most 3G phones in South Africa wouldn't pick up the Cell C 3G network,but the newer with W-CDMA 900 ones. And yes Cell C did say that W-CDMA 2100 would be available in certain areas with high network demand.But I like to see the look of Cell C call center agents when people phone in asking why they not picking up 3G on their handsets:D

ok i just call back from cellc, they comfirmed the prices, but not the date they just sed in near future lol

R999 modem and 2gig a month for 12 months(7.2mps)

R1999 modem 5gig a month for 12 months(full speed)
 
Top-Up prices? Coz @ 21mbps that 5gig will go like a beesh.

Also please please please please if you get it can you pretty please confirm that they were not talking shyte about the low latency? :) Screenshot or it didn't happen!!!!
 
under correction but before launch they will have to comeup with a non patent'd logo now :/

Still no access on network. Im beginning to believe that Cell C plan is to launch those two packages for a grand. Than slowly allow normal customers onto the network once it has the systems in place for pre-paid etc:whistle:

It's a guess:D
 
I lost my CellC signal totally last night at exactly 23:00. I tried to do a manual search for a SP, and CellC was not listed.
10 minutes later the signal was back, and I was hoping that the loss was due to a switch over to the new network.
Unfortunately not, as I am still connecting via Edge.
 
Does anyone know where the units can be bought when available? Will there be a limited amount released or will it be a full blown release?
 
I also got confirmation from a guy who got a call from cell c through telltrevor.co.za. The prices are confirmed but date is not confirmed.
