Sorry for the incorrect assumption that the 2GB@R99 was the 24 month contract promotion. Can you maybe direct me to the correct month-to-month CellC deal?

you not comparing apples with apples dude. Those packages from Cell C and MTN you can simply add to your contract account(the ones I was referring to), and they have a 2 month window that they last.

that Vodacom package AND the MTN one are CONTRACTS and you cant bolt that on to a current SIM. You comparing contract with prepaid deals... You cant do that, it makes zero sense. I have already tweeted Vodacom. They said R349 is their price and if I dont like it GTFO

Pricing looks good to me. Who wants to pay a fortune upfront for mobile data? I actually have ADSL, so thanks, but no thanks to 60GB or 24 GB bundles or whatever.
I'll go for the lower-end bundles. Also, it's good to see someone finally beating the OOB rates I've been getting from Virgin. Almost time to move to Cell C. C'mon guys, lower voice rates just a little more...

Fair enough. The point is, those aren't the only people Cell C need to cater for. In fact, I'd guess they're the smaller market. And for the others, the lower data users, those prices look great.

Anyone know if this can be added to a current contract as an add on data bundle
 
Two questions:

1. Can I buy this promo using the USSD menu? (Seeing I already have a sim and saves me a trip to the store)

2. Can two sims be used on one contract (so the sims share the data, one for the ipad and one for the pc)

Fixed line access (adsl) versus wireless/mobile, fixed line is way behind as far as I know. So in fact the mobile market is the driver.

Its not shabby at all. If you have uncapped adsl then awesome, wish I could get it where I live, but can't.

Yeah, I'm tired of paying R349 for Vodacom's 2GB.. It's a rip off!!!! Almost double the price of all other service providers :mad:

I'm moving this week to Cell C, 8ta or MTN...

I doubt that you can do this. From what I've seen in the past, these promotions tend to be exclusively for new contracts and upgrades. Unless if Cell C allows for 24-month data contracts to be added onto other 24-month data contracts, I'd say no in this case. Good deals though, even more so if you already have a modem and don't need another one.
