Cell C data prices reduced

I would pass on any deal currently offered by CellC , their network simply cannot cope with the influx of new subscribers

Yeah, they need to sort out the network

Just make it simple! 1 SIM for cheap calls and cheap data + smartphone is all we need- how hard can it be???
Exactly!!! Why can't everything just be available as a bolt-on?! How easy would that make life. As techies we all know it's just code. So it CAN be done. Whether they CHOOSE to do it is another matter. This is why I think these promos are more about the subscriber numbers than the actual value they deliver to us. As always, there's always string attached.

The 300MB that comes with my contract will, according to the callcentre, be forfeit if I buy an additional data bundle.
:wtf:
No f***ing way! That might just the dumbest thing I have ever heard a network do.
Then again, call center agents are the worst source of info ever.
So either the agent if super-dof or CellC is. I pray it's the former!

Lol this is Vodacoms pricing?
Whos copying who?

Im in the process of getting the new Samsung Ativ from Vodacom and the pricelist I got is the same as these promo prices?
Same as MTN's...

CellC doesn't have the dreaded OOB shark though

I'm on prepaid with my smartphone. One would think that they'd be innovative on this front.

Data prices are good, but contract rates are better. Trust me though CellC, you'd have me buying Giga20 via USSD every month for life without the admin.

The more complicated things get, the more they can fsck you over. This has been the strategy of VC/MTN since they got used to their pillaging.

It's sad to see CellC slipping down the same slope.

RE my data & forfeit- I was assured by 2 or 3 agents as well as some shop assistants that this was the case (back in January). Things may have changed now, I'm not sure.

Just wish they would have better coverage. They useless outside of the major cities

Now this is data price SLASHING, yet the article headline just says data price cuts however when its Vodascum the article title will read DATA SLASHING but in reality it was just simply data price cuts.

There fixed it for you...

No ways, I have a contract and a bolt-on bundle so I don't see why it wouldn't work the same for this. (straight up 100, which includes 100megs, + a R7.50 bundle (to get the 15c/mb OOB rates)

and now for prepaid. . . .

Dude, you already have supercharge (or whatever it's called) AND 15c/mb, what more do you need?
In fact, with supercharge you're probably paying closer to 7c/mb

Did you notice you were pretty far into the thread and the only one who picked this up?

Vodacom had these prices out a few weeks ago already. On both contract and TopUp.

The pricing is obviously not the same. OOB rate is different, meaning that pricing is potentially VERY different.
