Cell-C Dual SIM / Data SIM / Multi SIM?

Hi All

We don't have Dual sim's for data.
will take it up and see if will introduce them. as demand is becoming very high

Thanks Cellc, definitely the take up will be good. People have multiple devices these days. I have it on my current MTN voice/data sim. But it would be great if cellc could give you this on the data only sim. I am sure you will sell more the the 5GB bundles!!!

Asked this in the Vodacom forum and get denied so i am wondering if its possible with CellC.

I would like to get the 5Gb data bundle special with CellC on a pay as you go (The once off payment) So i get hard capped at 5Gb each month.

Then i would like to get that sim card cloned (Dual sim or what ever its called) and have that sim card in my cell phone. I would then buy airtime each month and load it onto that number so i can use it for calls and sms's.

Is all this even possible? Basically i want the 5Gb of Data for both the 3G card and my cellphone but i also want to be able to make calls with my cellphone using a fixed amount of airtime.

+1000
Great, want the same, see the dual sim thread. Awaiting response from cellc.....This would definitely give the other SPs a run....

I'd also be interested in a dual sim, that way I can have a micro-sim for my iPad and a normal sim for my speedstick, all on the same prepaid bundle package (5Gb per month)

I Also really require a dual sim. One for the iPad 2 and the other for the dongle I carry with me all the time. I'm hope cell c can make this happen. It will be awesome.

Any1 here know whats the cost to have dual sim activated on CellC ... prepaid?

Good Day piranha786

A normal Voice sim can be dual, it's the standard cost of buying a sim card pre-paid
But you Can't do a dual sim on a data sim card.

Any feedback on the dual data sim for i.e tablet and cellphone active at the same time???

Cell C Multi DATA SIM Card

I've recently moved to Cell C from a Vodacom Contract as Vodacom does not have 3G coverage (only EDGE) in my area.

On my Vodacom Contract I had 2 SIM Cards linked to the same contract. I used one in my iPad and one in my 3G MiFi Router. This was really useful as I was able to use my iPad while away from home and not having to go through the additional red tape of getting another contract to use in my iPad.

I want the same on Cell C. I am currently using my Cell C SIM in my MiFi Router, but now I can only use my iPad when I am home... I want a multi data SIM to use in my iPad.

Is this possible? (The salesperson at Cell C Fourways is clueless as to what a multi data sim is)

Where can I get it?

Can I use the sim cars simultaneously? I do not want to de-activate a SIM card before using the other!

If Cell C does not have this, I am going to cancel my contract within the allowed 7 day period.

Hi mjoost88

We can create a dual sim for your contract. You can buy a numberless sim (don't RICA it) PM me the sim number and i will activate it for you.
unfortunately you wont be able to use the sim cards simultaneously.

Will this philosophy ever change? We want both active, one in phone and one in tablet :-)

Go into a store,I have a dual sim service from them but its supposed to be more of a primary/slave kind of service although mine works either way even if both are on.The secondary sim shows a different number but uses the same bundles.

Its a once of charge for the sim only.Surprisingly not all the Cell C agents know about it so insist on speaking to a supervisor if the call agent doesn't know.Cell C riversquare activated mine for me quickly and easily.I use one in my s3 and the other in my ipad.I have tried it on two phones at the same time and it works also.
@Cell_C: Is this true?

@Cell_C: Can you confirm this please?

What is the best procedure to get a dual SIM and what are the costs?

Hi ginggs

For a dual sim, buy a numberless sim (not RICA'd) activating it is free. Call 084140 or PM me.

Cant guarantee that the sim will work on two devices sententiously.

Dual sim can only be done on a post paid line. Hybrid and pre-paid is not possible at this stage.

Multisim, preaid and Supacharge

I want to know, can you have multisim on prepaid and is the supacharge bonus shared. IOW if I load R300 airtime on my phone can I use the 900mb supacharge data on my multisim on a tablet?

Is it possible to get Multi-sim on Cell C like telkommobile has where you can have more than one simcard with different numbers using the same call minutes, data and sms bundle?

With Cell C, you can only have a dual sim. A Primary sim and secondary sim, not more than that. *DM*

what i did with dual sim

I want to keep my Afrihost data which is cheap and migrate to Vodacom

1. Migrate to Vodacom (Because MTN is not great where I a travel for work)
2. Get a standalone Afrihost data sim card
3. Get a dual sim phone without the additional contract

My Brother on the other hand -

1. Got an additional contract with Cell C (Cheapest possible contract with top range Dual sim phone) , threw away the cell c
2. Inserted MTN contract with afrihost in sim slot 2
3. Inserted work MTN contract in sim 2 for calling
