Hi morkhans. I dont know if you game, but if you do can you tell me how badly this affects your latency?
Damn, thats a deal breaker for me. I only play PUBG at the moment... Thanks for the info man. I'll see if I can wiggle out of the contract, seeing that I'm not live yet.If you're in cape town you get +30ms or more on what you would get on another isp. For example, i get 142ms to uk on cool ideas and my friend gets 180ms on cell c.
Theres definitely a noticeable difference in some games like pubg because thats international.
Where are you based? After being upgraded by Cell C last night to 50/50 I tried streaming a series "the adventures of sherlock holmes" via pudlocker at lunch time but it buffers a lot. When I tried a speed check on the TV the ping was 12Ms and the upload was 13Mb with download of 17Mb. This was directly connected to the LAN wire and not on WiFi. The 50/50 seems to be little better than the 20/20 I replaced - it seems to be all over the place, sometimes 50/50 or nearly there and at other times its nowhere. What do I do now?
Ok, there is something seriously wrong. You should be getting close to 50Mbps down and 50Mbps up. You're not evening getting close to 20Mbps down and 20Mbps up.Ping: 356ms
Download: 3.1Mbps
Upload: 10.46Mbps
Ping: 355ms
Download: 3.23Mbps
Upload: 13.16Mbps
Strange. Almost looks like a 100/10 profile but reversed. Who is the fibre provider? Vumatel, octotel?
