Maybe you should cancel and take the service with MWEBI think this has been the worst experience to date with an ISP, courier etc. All the parties involved in this offering is absolutely useless.
The package was not delivered for days, then delivered at the wrong address multiple times and they never phone back. RAM/Digital Planet is as incompetent as it gets.
Then once it finally arrived it just sat there with no service and still not working 2 days later. Tried all the APN suggestions as per this thread, double checked the coverage maps as some mentioned the Cell C and Axxess coverage maps are not the same and it looks like I am just outside Cell Cs coverage map but well inside Axxess's version.
Axxess is also extremely slow and IMO ignores any Cell C LTE tickets from their side in purpose.
It has now been 3 weeks since the order was placed and I have been billed since the 3rd and still no service on the 22nd.
I would not recommend this to anyone as nothing has worked and it has been some of the worst service from all parties involved I have ever had with this product.
Cancelling as soon as I can talk to someone at Axxess on Monday.
PS. Wish I came to check here before I decided to purchase this horrible service as I would probably have stayed clear of it and saved a lot of time and money by going somewhere else straight away. Lesson learnt!

I just got a call from the Cell C call center and damn what a useless bunch, the guy pretty much told me I am not on the system and he can't do anything, I must talk to Axxess as Cell C has nothing to do with this Fixed LTE service from Axxess and when I demanded to talk to a manager he just made up excuses and said it was not possible.
Cancelling this abortion.
It's lte-a but the deal normally includes a router which does not support lte-a on cellc.Sorry, jumping in a little late on this thread.
Quick question - Cell C's fixed LTE, is it LTE-A capable or only LTE?

I then phoned Axxess as they hadnt even responded to the customer service ticket logged yet and was told they cant help me, they will log a ticket with IS.
It seems all this service is good at is passing the buck!

So in the near future i'll be needing lte an LTE solution. currently cellc is the cheapest. looking around it looks like Mweb is the best choice to get cellc fixed lte since they offer the router free* still.
My questions are:
#1 can i trust Mweb? since the great purge of mweb throttling uncapped power users i have not returned to them.
#2 as far as i understand the Free* router deal with regards to pro rata, lets say i buy it now and in 6 months i cancel. at the time of cancelling if the router costs R1500 i'll have to pay 1500/12*6? ie half of the costs since its pro rata? my living arrangement is a bit volatile and i wouldn't want to have to pay full price for the router should i be "forced" to move to an area with no coverage.
#3 Lastly how is everyone's experience now that the big wrinkles have been sorted out? i'll just be doing normal browsing and youtube nothing crazy, if ping isn't too bad i'd like to play online but thats not the purpose of the line.
email me your axxess username, ill look into getting your sim activated - [email protected]

I can't vouch for them, but Ignite is also giving the B315 for free (or the B618 @ R999) - they work it out on 6 months instead of 12 like MWEB![]()
Pretty sure 22d. Only telkom sells the 22d.nice, thats very decent, now if they selling the B618-65d i could use it with the telkom 500gb night surfer and download the whole internet.

The service is Fixed LTE/LTE-A, what this mean is that the Sim can only connect to 1 tower and not just any cell-c tower it feels like connecting to. This ensures that mobile user don't slow down your connection. So after checking again, i see the coverage maps have been updated since my last check for Sasolburg where my folks stay.
I think I've asked this question before but i still don't know the answer.
*What is the difference between lte/lte-a AND fixed LTE. When looking at coverage maps fixed lte covers a smaller area but is it not running on the same signal/frequency/tower as the normal lte/lte-a ??
Check the below, Green is Fixed LTE, Purple is LTE-A, why does fixed not cover the full purple area, is it just to ensure good signal strength by limiting how far away from the tower Fixed LITE is allowed to be?

*Can anyone confirm if any provider has data rollover on cellc fixed lte? a colleague says Axxess does but i'm not to sure about it.
*Does one get locked to a tower? sometimes the folks go away and i'd like to be able to take the router to jhb with me for a week here and there.
Secondly, there's no data rollover as yet.
