I really like cell c but this is just silly. An mtr of 40c should Allow them to be damned competitive.

If not then they should learn to be more efficient.

I wonder how much the cost of voice calls will drop within the next 2 years.

Cell-C's 99 cents / PM / Per second billing to any network, any time is pretty damn good and now they have their permanent "Supacharge" thing. I would love to see voice calls costing R0.50 or less in the near future.

Cell C lol no profits, thousands of subscribers suffering from network congestion.
Too much noise cell c, starting to sound like a whiny hag now lol.

Right, lets celebrate cause monopolies and cartels are just soooo much better. I mean where would we be without companies like Telkom. Choice and competive price? Who the furk needs that!

It makes no sense for Cell C to drop prices so low. They obviously have no long term intentions, they have other intentions.
Their pricing is bizarre, they cannot run the company like this. They roaming on vodacoms network and paying Vodacom 18c a MB but charging their customers 11c??? What a joke.
I'm all for competition and competitive prices and choice. I just don't buy Cell Cs "noise".

MTR for mobiles should come down to be the same as land lines. The only difference between the technologies is the last mile, and honestly I think it's cheaper to cover the last mile with wireless than wires.

And you wonder why everything in S.A. is so damn expensive, the paying public is baffled by competing on low price!

Ag nee Jan! Please cull the size of Domini Cull's picture to a reasonable size...

...a cut that’s definitely coming is better than waiting for an undetermined period for ICASA to review the MTR regulations
Cull is clearly familiar with ICASA's rate of work!

Never had any problems on my Cell C contract. Had, and still have, endless problems with my Vodacom contracts.

Now that Vodacom is starting to respond to CellC pricewise, CellC suddenly wants to make it impossible for Vodacom to compete? So how are the consumers benefiting?

Sorry CellC, as much as I like you, I think this is bad for the consumers.

I'm a bit baffled by this move of Cell C, but this Wily Fox, AKC will have a reasoning or plan behind it. Please ICASA allow the MTR to go down further. I also really don't see why there should be such a difference between MTR rates to mobile or fixed destinations.
A MTR rate of R0.25 or R0.30 without any asymmetry to all networks appears to me the easiest and most reasonable solution.
