Hi,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, work is still ongoing on our site and we will advise once we are done.

This is too long now. My bill has not arrived via email and the My-Account site is still down.

(and the Post Office is not involved? Or are they?:erm:)

72 hours?

Methinks Trevor has made way for Mac Maharaj as CellC's custodian of accurate information.

I was under the impression the update would only take approx 24-72hours. Seriously over a week and "my account" page isn't up and running. What's the hold up.

How do I add Cell C airtime online?

Really! This shouldn't be the most difficult task on earth! I buy vouchers, I want to go online to check my balance, check/change tariff plans and add airtime. How do I do this Cell C????

I tried the 140 call centre - can't get past the first (language) prompt!
I tried the web-form - no reply!
I even tried to google it, but no luck.

I'm not going to take my switchboard offline every time I need to check the balance or recharge, so this is a deal breaker.

Maybe the infrastructure is being updated and nothing will change "my account" I am trying to find their test website. I should have bookmarked the website. Not sure if it's this https://devices.cellc.co.za/DMC/web_CELLC/ Finally found their development site but the link is also broken :) http://cellc.dev2.trigger.co.za/
Sorry but no way am I going to enter my account information into some third party site. ;)

CellC has no intention of pulling their collective fingers out of their collective arses and fixing this. When my data bundle is depleted (when that's likely to be is a mystery of course) that's it, I'm done with CellC.

I saw that yesterday, but that error message looks a bit too permanent. Like the service has been down for years, and will be down for long time to come.
My Account is temporarily unavailable.
Please dial *147# for the following account options:

1. Change Tariff;
2. Balance;
3. Data settings;
4. Bundles;
5. BlackBerry;
6. Block SIM;
7. Please Call Me;
8. Customer Info; or
9. Product Info

Alternatively, please contact our customer call centre on 140 from a Cell C number or 084 140.
We apologise for the inconvenience.

You know those signs at licensing department? The ones that say, "Sorry, the computers are slow today. We are working on the problem.", yet the paper's turning yellow, the corners are dog eared and torn and the paint behind the notice is a different colour to the rest of the wall? That's what this error looks like. Without viewing the source, it looks like it's been hard coded into the HTML. No dates, no explanation, no estimated time to repair. It just looks pessimistic.

Like this one from Standard Bank. Good thing they said, "early next year", otherwise they'd have to update the page annually :rolleyes:.

And I hadn't seen this thread when I started my thread.

But anyway, after reading this thread, how the **** can Cell C consider this even remotely acceptable? 10 days without an essential service! That's worse than home affairs during their annual strike. ****.

Maybe you just need a new monitor?

Hopefully by end of business day*Today Friday*. If management didn't go away for the long weekend, if they did just PM us the temporarily site. That way we can test it first hand to see if it's operational and working accordingly.

Now the entire sodding site is down!

I hope this means they're rebooting a working website at last.

It's amazing how quickly Cell C can go from being the underdog hero's to nothing.

As South African consumers we're well known for taking cR@P from service providers, so speaking out like this serves 2 purposes:
1. It lets the SP know where to improve
2. It blows off steam

I'm still a CellC fan and I'll recommend them to anyone who asks. But they're playing in the big leagues now, so "underdog hero" doesn't cut it anymore.

So I guess management is away for a long weekend or they simply do not care about signing the site off so it can go online again.

I wish people would stop recommending them! They aren't upgrading their towers to accommodate all the connections, so tower congestion is becoming huge problem.
Off topic I know, just saying...
8ta had the same rise and fall; great prices and great speeds, then EVERYONE goes to 8ta and the quality goes to hell.
