If so, then why didn't they run the old one in parallel with the new one?
So that customers can fall back to a working system should the new one cause a glitch in the Matrix...

damn annoying, as my sim is in my router....
I have the same Problem and adopted a "PAY as you GO" Data from Cell C used through a router bolted high on a wall.
As ALL Cellular signal is generally poor in my area, there is no Telkom yet, and I fall outside the iburst optimal range I tried Cell data with their very competitive data rates. It seemed to tick all the boxes and I was considering a contract option however in light of this Failure, and the failure of Cellc to rectify the problem, I will have to start shopping around for other SPs. MTN doesn't have good signal in the area, I thought about 8ta. (..not trying to highjack the thread)
But I would prefer it if they just sorted out the problem, so that I can check and ensure that I don't run out of data when doing updates or downloads, as it is a mission for me to get a ladder, get the SIM out, put it into a phone, and check the balance.
Do we have an ETA on the resolution yet?
..or I will be forced to explore other options.
