Cell C network problems

Rubbish.
Why can they not just be straight? They have been having problems since this morning, not since 2PM.

Just look at the complaints in the posts about Virgin. Same network, same problems, same responses. That hasn't been 'well' for weeks.

yip thats trash

Cellc only has the number 0844, 0845 and 0848, they make out its only affecting a small part of their network.

My phone has been down from 10am today, well thats when I tried to make a call.

I wonder if I was charged for those "Number you have dialled it not......"

No, 2PM is correct

2PM is when the managers found out about the problem, since they have nearly no idea what the guys who don't drive BMW's do

Yip, i agree 2PM is correct, this is when the managers stopped surfing the p0rn sites, and saw there was a problem.

Maybe all their pron surfing was using up all their bandwidth?

would prefer if they use their own free minutes.....everything seems to be going wrong for them at the moment.

thought they had such hot-shot directors?

:mad::eek:

Network problems from today? I've been without a cellphone for 2 weeks now because of CellC's inability to get a SIM card working on their network.

maybe when they changed whatever that was someone forgot to enable a option?

CellC Official Response

Cell C experienced a technical glitch which affected one of the nodes in certain numbers this afternoon. This problem is isolated only to a few numbers and specifically affects incoming calls intermittently. Our technicians are currently working on the problem and we are hoping to resolve it soon.

Cell C wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Liars!

I have two contracts, both are completely offline. Cannot receive or make calls even intermittently as they said in the press release.

What really irks me is that their website says absolutely nothing about the problem, how are we supposed to know what's happening?

Also have two contracts been off with no service since lunch time thank goodness cancelling all contracts within the month.

Their website is buggy... half the time I have issues sending SMSes from it... quite a bit of the SMS functionality seems buggy, period!

They also have the 074 prefix, tho it's a spare prepaid sim that I have so don't know if that was acting up or not.

My contracts r with MTN & Vodacom...

Actually, Cell C (Virgin) which I have been using for about 3 months now have been having problems for about as long as that. I constantly have problems with there 'network error', 'drop calls', 'this number is incorrect', you don't have enough credit nonesence. In the short time I have used them, I can only say that I can't wait to change to another network, possibly MTN. Anyway, you live and learn.

And to top it all the Idiots have turned their customer service number of you cant even get it to ring whilst phoning it from a landline.

See what happens if you employ people on any other reason than the fact that they are qualified to do the job.

But i suppose this is THE NEW SOUTH AFRICA

So lets all Sue Cell C for loss of income after all my bussiness is run from my phone

Carrier pidgeon and cleft stick

And if you win the case, they will provide you with 1000 free OFF PEAK minutes! :D

:D:mad::eek: Ja Nee that is how it will be but I do think people should make them accountable. We can not get the second fixed line provider going our mobile networks don't work.. how the hell does government expect us to compete in the international market if they allow TELCUM to have a finger in every phone company on the market, vodacom, virgin, mtn and cell crap.

but maybe we will never learn and then we can return to the cleft stick and carrier pidgeon system, they are faster at the moment in any case
