Cell C Promotion Ending?

I received the following email from my brother who works at an advertising company who deals with Cell C.

I'm not sure how genuine this info is, but I'm putting it out there just in case.

Dear Valued Clients, Colleges and Friends,

The WHOOOSH promotion for CELL C has been a huge success, our Clients have
experienced the fastest mobile data downloads in the country, at an awesome price.

Regrettably the 2GB and 5GB Data Bundle promotion ends on the 14th of October 2011.
The pricing will still remain competitive; however, will be stabilising at around
R0.12c to R0.15c per MB for the same services (unofficial, but will be communicated soon).

So to take advantage of the current R0.07c pricing; please make sure your orders are
in before the 14th to secure the pricing.

Thank you so much for the support thus far and I look forward to what CELL C brings
in the future.

I already looked at 8ta 2+1GB bundle, yeeh, say it is my commitment to CellC... I came here to buy E367 modem for CellC 900MHz and walked out with free SIM.

I currently have a Cell C 2Gb per month promotional SIM in my Android phone. It will only come to an end in December, but I would like to extend it before the promotion comes to an end on the 14th.

What I need to do however is port my number over to the new SIM. I am sure it can be done, because I went through a number port from Vodacom last year, but I do not want to render my current 2Gb SIM unusable in the process, because it has a good 2 months left.

Anyone in a similar position that managed to do this?

Has anyone asked yet what happens to those of us who chose the contract option? Those anniversary dates are coming up soon as well.

Would we be able to continue with the "promo" pricing when the contract renews?
