Please note that in order to have the SIM swap processed you need to pass the security verification questions. If the SIM card is registered with your details, you can visit a Cell C store near you with your ID book/card and proof of residence for assistance.

It's called number porting and it's possible, simply follow these 4 easy steps:

1.Buy a Cell C SIM card and RICA it, but do not open it
2.SMS your Rica serial number to 084 767 82 87 from your current number.

3.Wait for 24 hours before using your Cell C SIM card.

4.Recharge and enjoy the world of Cell C prepaid.

Good morning I bought a new phone on contract and I was given a new cell c number the company was mobi warehouse....I have paid off my account and yesterday I received smses saying request to for migration unsuccessful recharge your emergency loan another one said your phone number is 084xxxxxxx and your Rica information has been deregistered please register your Rica information again... I'm stranded and disappointed

My daughter’s cell c SIM card stopped working. After calling 084135 they told me they cannot find anything in the system… how is that even possible ?? I passed all the security question because the sim is under my name. Now they are asking me to go to a cell c shop while I’m sick and I told them I can’t be out. Please help

Hi there,ive been using the cell c connecta flexi for the past 4months without any issue and then yesterday the sim just goes blank and i have not had any reception for the past 12-13 hours...can i please get some assistance regarding this issue...kind regards

I'm done with cellc, I updated for the first time in May and the card was damaged so I did a sim swap on the 29th of May. I recently updated my phone again and it did the same thing when I tried to sim swap the system declined me, I even went to the store, it declined me still. The security questions are what passes me off the most. How the hell am I supposed to get 3 numbers that I usually call when the sim card is not working. I only had 2 numbers which are in the system but I still couldn't get to sim swap. I recently received data from school, how am I suppose to study without data.

If you still have the original SIM card, please follow these steps:

1. Email us a copy of your ID and Proof of Address.

2. Attach a photo of the RICA Serial number.

3. Send these documents to [email protected] for verification purposes.

Is it really difficult for other Networks to link a prepaid number with ID as Telkom does? Is it the cost or just not caring about preapid clients? With Telkom if you need a sim swap in a store you only present them your ID and it's done. No security questions.
 
I want to do a sim swap and they keep on saying I failed security questions now I should wait for 30 days to perform
