Hi everyone, I have just purchased a Cell C 20gb from axxess. I am getting reasonable results using my current equipment. My question is, can I improve the speed by buying a cat 5 or greater router? I currently have nothing higher than cat 4. Given that data aggregation can only happen with cat 5 or higher, does anyone have any experience with this. It may be that Cell C doesn't support aggregation so probably pointless upgrading. Any help or pointers much appreciated.

Thanks both for you replies. I am experimenting with Cell C but I have three accounts with MTN via axxess and agree MTN beats Cell C. My problem is data costs, Cell C is one tenth the cost of MTNo_O. I am willing to buy a newer router that will increase performance so I can switch to Cell C and stop worrying where the data goes:). Looks like I might have talked myself into an upgrade! Yippee

Bump

Does anyone else have any observations. Particularly regarding aggregation???

Without clarification from Cell-C on their "dropping " fixed lte - I am not sure that, I'd go with them. Ready for a B618 router and Cell-C Fixed LTE from Afrihost, but with this issue hanging in the air, not sure, what I will do next.

Agreed, I have put on hold any changes to my system . I have also cancelled my purchase of a new router. I agree with you. Cell C is probably not a good idea at the moment.
