Cell C Speed Test Results

Did some wardriving this morning with a friend. Definitely something up with tower 4231x in Stellenbosch.
Tested with two laptops, E1820 and E367 from two different locations relative to the tower, and also a few speedtest servers. Only getting a few hundred kbit/sec withmodems on 3G only.


Neighbouring towers around Stellenbosch give a couple of megs/sec.

This is on UMTS 2100 again

Noticed the slow tower does not have UMTS 2100. So using 2100 only band effectively excludes the tower from being used. Getting -91dBm from a different tower with UMTS 2100 but now speeds are around 2 meg :-)

You posted a Vodacom speedtest result, but no comparative one for Cell-C. :confused:
Which is better for you?
 
After one year with Cell C, it's still going strong on my side.
