Thanks.

Very impressive both speed and car!

I'm using the Vodacom K4605 (E367 with Vodacom firmware).
Is there any benefit in flashing the K4605 with non-branded software/firmware from http://www.dc-files.com/ ?
I'm currently getting 10-15Mbps - which judging by the other Cell-C results is still good,
Not as good as OMB, Porsche Driver, Pavan, Base122 and a few others.

I think the K4605 modem is actually a Vodafone branded Huawei E372 modem.
It is better than the Huawei E367 modem.

And on speedtest.net telkom mobile server:

At the same location 8ta maxes out at 3.5mbps almost looks like a soft limit or something, can't get more than that.

With 40 percent reception

The server is on the MTN network I notice. Aint there any servers on the Cell C network to test?

This is with a MF190 speedstick on UMTS 900 full reception

Why are my E272 with 40 percent on UMTS 2100 faster?

Could be the 900 MHz cell is at capacity, it could even be a different tower. What are the cell IDs you see on 900MHz and 2100MHz?
Where do you see that on the Cell C dash?
Other thing I notice on UMTS 900 it looks like a ack receipt is being sent before the connection is fully establish. It shows the site in the FF tab but then it takes a couple of seconds to load it.
I tested it on a torrent using bitthief and got a nice 330kb/s avg download. Not awesoome but I can live with that. I wont jump to any conclusions will test it out a bit some more as the weather here is not peachy as well. Will do one again later the week and see. But at the moment im happy no problems just the ack thing I noticed which is crappy with normal browsing with the browser but the downloads im happy with......... so far
