Cell C Speed Test Results

Woooosh speeds

Hi all, I am new to Cell c data- see my woooosh speeds
not even 1mbps..... best I have had once was just over 2mbps::cry:
 
which modem are you using and whats the signal like in your area shack
 
I wish i could post my speedtest results but I can't connect for long enough. I am supposedly in the high coverage area but get nothing. Been complaining for 25 days now and despite numerous promises nothing has been done to resolve my issue. I am about to lose another month's 5Gb of data.

What a rip off.

Hi Cell.C guru

I have the 1499 special, the e1752

The Cell c dashboard fluctuates between hspa and wcdma- both between 4/5 bars

Coverage map shows bright red colour--- should be the best....

What's your OS?

Have you tried a different USB port, and different dongle orientations?

Hi there, I am in the Pretoria, Capital Park area- shows blood red on the coverage map.

latest speedtest results today

I have tried all usb ports on my machine- no difference yet. must be network coverage or problem with dongle? Will try use dongle at a different location on different machine, see what the reults are...
 
Hi there,

Did the unofficial fix- speedtest reults-- 2.5Mbps.

Seems better than what it was, will give it a try for a while and see... Still jealous of those getting 6mbps.

Around 94% signal strength. I bought the 5Gb package because my ADSL connection here is so K@K I am thinking of canning it.

Can these data bundles be topped up?

As far as I know if you reach your cap on prepaid you can just buy airtime and load it from the cell c application. Postpaid I think you don't get cut, just being billed for extra data....
