Yes, my tower is located about 800m to 1km away. I get very good signal. Average 10 mbps.

The reason I bought the antenna was for my brother's iPhone 4. He gets very bad vodacom reception.

RichardG is going to test this antenna at his place where he gets +-87 dBm signal on Cell C.

The difference between me and Madhawk - Madhark has LOS (Line of sight) of the base station he connects to and has superb speed half the speed of what the Black dongle can achieve (also depends on many factors how congested is the tower) I received suburb speeds on another tower with -65 dBm now forget about using that tower - its so congested you lucky if you able to do 9meg, use to get on average 18-19megs every speed I was doing.

Madhawk - I will test the coupler and Antenna (will be gentle wont get aggressive or anything) if I notice a difference will report back.
I am first going to try use the antenna on the ground before mounting it on the pole and see if I get any improvements - also will mount in the direction where the tower is based..

Let the games begin tonight/tomorrow if weather plays good role

When doing the London speedtest I've noticed I consistently get better pings from the TranceFM server (around 300ms) than the Namesco server (around 600ms).
Anyone else seen this?

I get 375ms from the namesco server....

Cell C whatever you are doing keep it like this please, its looking better, best speeds all week, still not as fast as last week but better...
 




Still very reasonable for me & my intended use. RSSI -81dBm
 
I am happy to report that things are improving from what I have seen beginning of the year and in December noticed the uploads speeds Improved, whatever you are doing cell c keep up the good work. Black Dongle E1820 used, RSSI -85 dBm, wont get better than this unless I get a 3G ANTENNA.
