Well i must say i was very impressed with cell c for the first 3 months but for the last month it has been totally useless. I am in durban

My best test yet was at 12:37 in the morning since i put a support request in two weeks. this is about half of what i used to get so i dont think my situation has changed.

This his now beyond a joke, i 'm having dial up speeds, and i've had the contract for just over the week limit. The speeds are proving to get worse and worse in JUST the week i've had it.

and i'm in durban too....

Sorry to hear your pain. I moved from iBurst to Cell C and i am now back on iBurst. The problem is my Data is getting wasted. I probably wasted 2Gb last month just because nothing worked for the whole last week of the month. Cell C was the only assessable website. There is only so much to read on there homepage. I had a case number which i was going to use but it seems that they cant even run a call center let alone a internet provider. The techie i spoke to was very helpful and told me to let him know if my problem didn't go away. Problem is i cant get through to anyone because i just get disconnected from the call within minutes.

It seems the later it gets the better my connection gets. But surely this is way below the norm

Force 3g? Could you enlighten me

Hey mate if you're using the cell C dashboard I don't think they offer the option to force 3G but with the MDMA program available on the forums here you can select the option to restrict connectivity to 3G only. Huaweis mobile partner allows you to do that as well, where you choose WCDMA only under the network option. There are a few more generic dashboards according to the guys on here maybe ask around. But yeah MDMA should work perfectly for connectivity purposes. Anyway once I did that the modem started connecting to a different tower which gives me full 3G connectivity rather than EDGE.

My upload has also stabilised on this new tower: http://www.speedtest.net/result/1241494745.png

As more people go to sleep the better my internet gets. I was assured that my results are not congestion related
