Just goes to show, some people are never satisfied :p

Monday to friday slowdown

Monday at 7am,..... i will post my speed when i get home tonight, but as history shows it will probably be the usual 1-2mb/s with high latency due to an overloaded tower....

My result:

Never had such a fast download before, but i only wish my upload was better... use to be over 2mbps. Makes gaming almost impossible sadly

This looks like indication that probably some sites 43.2 are alive and talking with each other :0)

I noticed an improvement this week on another network

At the moment CellC is so slow SpeedTest won't even load :(

Very disappointed especially after December/January's Whoosh. I guess CellC is just another wireless network which just couldn't scale properly. I'm glad I renewed my MTN phone contract instead of porting to CellClike - originally planned to. At least I have some access now. The CellC network is just far too unreliable and unpredictable.

Look at the distance of the first server (800 Mi)?

I've bad mouthed Vodacom for about 8 months with their horrible speeds etc

For the past few days, I've been so glad to had Vodacom so I can actually work and browse the net. The 100kbps down and non existant uploads made things impossible.

Sad thing is that the consumer needs 2 or 3 SIMs to get a reliable service

Some speedtests from the hotel near the Cell C event today.

Testing from my NetComm portable Wi-Fi hotspot, supplied by Cell C.

apples vs pears

One server was JHB (~300mi) and the other Midrand (<50 Mi), Apples v Pears??

I have done enough testing since November 2010 on Cell c to realize that cell c's network is a FRUIT SALAD:D.... the off peak performance compared to week days 6pm -11pm regardless of server locations is shocking:mad:... you never no what you get... joys of wireless... but iburst was more consistent with there latency!

Good Morning No complaints here with CELL C - Just end of march when CELL C was not working smoothly and I have 2 x 5 gig of data to use up by of this week. Just very disappointed that I haven't seen an improvement in my area and if the 1 base station in question goes down "11402" then I am unable to surf or do anything. If I have an RSSI:-105 on MTN Network I am still able to load websites etc, just very disappointed that CELL C haven't fine tuned the network to be able to do with RSSI:-99 at least.. Just 2things happen this month base station was down for a couple of hours and had high packet loss due to the base station being down.

I am happy to be part of the "Wooooosh" family and cannot wait for 43.3 MBPS network to go live - maybe more bandwidth will come my way

CELL ID: 11402
AREA: South of Johannesburg
RSSI:-87
All test servers: Johannesburg
