Cell C Speed Test Results

Thats confusing? That still shows a MTN server test not a CellC speedtest, over ADSL? not possible?

Quite possible: It looks to be a smartphone whose carrier is MTN, sure, but you will notice the WiFi icon. So the data most likely is traveling over a WiFi connection. That wifi can be anything: iBurst, 3G, ADSL...

But agreed, some clarity should be provided.

I am happy with my WOOOOOSH experience just a pity sometimes the base station site get congested with too many users connected and get a lot of PACKET LOSS after 10pm or so and also picking another 2 base station in my area when 1402 goes down and no throughput is achievable -- get disconnected frequently

Base Station CELL ID: 1402
Speedtest Test Server: MTN Business
Device: E1820
RSSI : -87 (Stable) sometimes I am able to pick up -79 for a few minutes.
Top Download Achieved: 6 megs max, couldn't do better than that from my current location.

I am getting really poor results today in Northriding (Randburg)
Connection cut out for about 3-4 hours where I could not access anything. After a long call to Customer Care, it seems to be working again, but so slow its almost unusable

Local Test (do not that I do not get close to this, even on local browsing)

International (this appears to be my average throughput for the day)

Phoned CellC and after sitting on hold for ten minutes: 'Our system is broken, can we get someone to call you at an indeterminate point?'

(I'm in PE, so the upgrades are not affecting me)

I must be very well located, as I've been getting these speeds and better consistently for the past two months - Monument Park, Pretoria

I am so jealous folks I am not getting anywhere near your speeds but I will say one thing the service is stable I would like to download faster that way CELL C save me time, put me first :P However that saying goes.

speed sucks this morning, cell 1986, -75dBm signal HSD+UPA (haven't used MDMA for a while so first time I've noticed this type of connection, previously been HSDPA or HSPA+) :(
