Cell C versus MTN

Well done Cell C! Turning a regulatory "burden" into a new opportunity that ends up benefiting both you AND your customers.

If only some of the other players in this market could learn to take such a positive attitude, turning ICASA requirements into new business success rather than fighting tooth and nail against your customers, and ultimately your long term success.

Compare that to Telkom who can turn a regulation like "uncapped local bandwidth" into a consumer nightmare. They could have had free local bandwidth, and then rolled out charged services that use local bandwidth (like their unlimited music thing), and made far more like that - ultimately benefiting both us and them.

Some companies just seem to hate the idea that their customers are somehow benefiting "too much for free". I can only hope they won't have to put up with all those annoying customers for much longer.

Good job Cell C.

MTN! Stop moaning you morons!

Since MTN started they have not done a single thing right. Vodacom gave SA cellular and then the world prepaid. MTN gives customers hassles and inferior data services. And when you call someone on MTN the ring signal sounds almost like an engaged signal.

MTN is just enriching the rich...

I'm an Mtn subscriber.I think cell c is right on this one.they are definately dialling the right buttons!

MTN has, for some time, refused to make payment to Cell C of any interconnect fees, and has simultaneously contended that Cell C is indebted to MTN in an amount far in excess of what it owes Cell C.

Now here's a question, how quick are MTN and Cell C to blacklist people who don't pay? Now has Cell C or MTN blacklisted each other for not paying?
