Cell C Wifi Calling

what firmware version is used on the CellC provided Huawei P10 Lite? It is supposed to support wifi calling. I bought a P10 Lite through Takealot, and its firmware WAS-LX1C185B176 appears not to support wifi calling.

My previous CellC supplied Samsung worked well.

Wifi-Calling is only provisioned for Cell C devices.

Does Wifi calling reliably work for anybody here?

Every time I've tried to use it, I have it to cut it after a few days as for 2/3 of the calls the quality is just way too bad.
 
I gave up trying, people were fed up with not hearing me.

Will try again soon and let you know.
 
Its rubbish. I tried it for 2 months and almost every single call when I was roaming didn't work - so I would switch to Skype (on the same Wi-Fi network) and it was 100%.

I dont know how they do their servers or how "bulky" the protocol is but its 90% unusable.

I recently used cell C wifi calling extensively in Nepal and Hong Kong and had no issues at all, even worked fine on crappy airport and hotel wifi networks, was fantastic being able to keep my cell c number and make and receive local calls. In nepal in remote areas where wifi was lacking, I used a local N-cell sim in a 3g router in order to create my own wifi network.
