Cell C's 60GB data SIM packaging bungle

Sigh ASA=

Authority for Stupid Assh01es

Now their sticker claims that the data is available for 365 days and does not expire at the end of the month

Shame on the customer for not reading! Do you know how many people do not read or take the time to read the fine print? it's shocking, I don't feel sorry for this customer they did not take the time to get all the facts....

Yeh, according to my eyes the new sticker says every month I get 5GB of data and that data works for 365 days. If you go easy on it that is 23 months of interwebs.

But the real reality is always ask before dropping cash down. If you don't know for sure what you are buying, should you be buying it.

I think he was trying to be clever. Obviously 60gb of data over 12 months equates to 5gb a month. No mobile provider ever rolls over unused data, in fact very few fixed ones do (I know that iBurst do it up to a limit). Then maybe he was just ignorant.

People park in disabled bays, and when confronted say "the sign was obscured". I asked one such lady in the Constantia Village car-park if she had cataracts, and when she answered "no, why" I told her that she had parked in a disabled bay and there was a guy in a car with a disabled sticker on his windscreen waiting to get in, but she just locked the car and walked off. Plain ignorance.

That doesn't sound ignorant at all, it's pretty malicious !

Not Plain Ignorance, That's more a blatant disregard for for other people. People like that I have no respect for. I've noticed how people tend to park in spots reserved for parents with babies, when they have no kids with them. I guess they just wanna find out what it would be like...

Surely these stupid complaints are made by undercover employees from the competition

yeah wonder is the customer noticed that she has to sign a contract which has no fine print with everything in size 12 font :)

So only after signing the contract a customer would find out that the data is given in 12 months increments.

Refering to the not reading customers.

The "valid for 365 days" does not sit well with me

The way I see it, Cell C were neither in the wrong nor the right. They are clearly not trying to deceive anyone, but there's also no way that they can explain the full details of the deal on a little sticker, or a little box. How much detail must they go into to explain it, without printing out the full T's & C's all over the show??

Consumers need to either read the fine print, or ask for more details, before-hand. Preferably they should do both. I suppose Cell C should have added "T's & C's apply", as mentioned earlier, to protect themselves.

yes, because fine print is always extremely clear and concise....

Oh FFS, this guy is either a retard or being a pain in the sphincter muscle. Why is it that when I signed up for that same deal, I knew exactly what the restrictions were ?

Just wait for the leap year. Some nut will complain that he will be done in on 1 day :)
