CellC LTE down since 10am today

Yeah, that is bullshit, there is something else, my tower is off but my area still has power.

Nope the towers are probably in another area, same thing happen with the rain network.
 
Hi Guys

Cell C identified the fault that affected data and voice services on its network for approximately 2 hours on Saturday. The Neotel Data Centre experienced a power surge due to load shedding, which tripped the air-conditioning. This resulted in the Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) system, that enables the routing of traffic on the network, to overheat and power down. Additional generators were deployed and the equipment has since been restored.

@Cell_C There was loadshedding in the Pierre van Ryneveld, Centurion area this morning between 11am and 1pm. Something happened with your network in this area during that time. Our LTE at work is down and my phone signal is also non-existent. Can't get a data connection. Please help.

My Cell C LTE tower in Benoni stopped working last night already. Haven't had internet at home since. It is an Axxess package, btw. Tower is at -26.1629189,28.294303

I made bit of a discovery.
I am a Axxess CellC LTE client. My sim shows no LTE network no service. 2 days in a row.

I tested the same LTE Cellc with another CellC sim. (prepaid) Not from Axxess.

The prepaid LTE sim works fine :) But my axxess sim shows "no 4G signal. No service"

I put the Axxess sim in my cellphone. I got a message to RICA! So it seems Axxess or CellC did a bulk RiCA Lock on a whole lot of simcards.
Or that's just me trying to find a reason for this.

Anyone got any news on the CellC LTE outage?

I had the same issue but it resolved itself (sort of). I put my prepaid sim into the router (B315 or whatever the hell it is) and it worked fine. I put the Axxess sim into one of those smaller battery LTE things and it worked fine there. Switched them back and both continued to work. Try changing the APN back and forth, because that is about the only thing that happened when I switched devices.

Interesting discovery. Will try and report back.

Ive done this but only changing the apns ...

Will try the sims too
