Cellc really sucks, I lost my phone a month ago with my sim now I want to make a sim swap on the number they telling me I cant cause the number does not belong to me yet I have been using this number from 2008 and I had ported it from MTN to cellc thinking its the best service, yet now they failing to make my sim swap on a number I had for years.... this really sucks!!!!!!

That would depend on who Rica Registered the sim card. Additionally, if the sim card was already registered when you got it, then it would make the person who registered the sim card the account holder.

hi I have been trying to do a sim swap after my phone was stolen,unfortunately i can not remember so required question(last numbers i called),the sim i want to keep is liked to my bnk,my university and my job applications,i real need my number back,I have tried calling Cell c ,I'm now fedup.

As per the SIM swap policy, the process can only be done if the SIM card was registered under your names and ID number. You will also be required to answer security questions.
Please PM us the number in question and a contact number. Should you fail to answer the security questions, we will not process the sim swap.

Do not link your important account with cell c number otherwise you will be in trouble.

I've been having problems with my sim. First time ever in the beginning of August, it started saying it cannot read my sim which was weird cause I've had this sim for a couple years now. Called in and apparently didn't pass my security check(I don't keep track of who I phone or who I've phoned the most) and the lady was so rude.
Went in last week Saturday to a cell c store and got it sorted out finally. Only for it to be 4 days later n it's telling me no SIM again. I've been struggling whole morning trying to call in cause I refuse to go in the store again. It's really frustrating cause I need this number, if it wasn't important I wouldn't have cared. I've been using a different SIM in the mean time but I need help to get me account back.

Kindly PM us the RICA serial number of a non RICA registered SIM card, the number you want to swap and an alternative contact to reach you on.
It's mandatory that you pass your security check in order to have the SIM swap processed.

Hi everyone, sorry for bumping this thread.
I have a cell c sim that i dont use very often however , at the beginning on the month i topped it up with data (the 50GB) and shortly after it stopped working completely.
Can @Cell_C maybe check what happened?
also what is the process to do a sim swap?is it automated or do i need to speak to people (not really in the mood....heheh)
