Hi Lonzo, was it just your battery in the end? My battery was replaced 6 months ago by an installer after being hit by lightning, so I can’t imagine it’s the battery... unless they gave me a substandard battery.Put a gate motor battery not alarm battery
The solution is simple. Take the motor to Centurion Motors so that they can give it a proper service. The problem is hardly ever with the sensors themselves but with oil seals, batteries and battery chargers.I encountered the same problem. I see no solution or reasoning has been posted so I'll update if I manage to solve it.
Took mine to centurion. The brushes on the motor are gone. They quoted me R5k so I'm buying a new motor instead. Take yours in to have it checkedHas anyone managed to resolve this problem? Mine is doing the same. Not even 2 years old and the battery volts show 13,5V and charger 14,3V. But as soon as I press the remote or the button on the unit itself everything goes dead and restarts again.

Apparently, you have to do a yearly service on the motor to prolong its life. I use my gate quite often as well. Lasted just over two years.
Nope, I am in the east rand, went to the boksburg centurion
Yep you do . They will take it in, assess it and quote you. If you decline the quote, it will cost you R100 to reassemble your motor or you pay nothing and assemble it at home by yourself.Do you only need the physical motor?
