Champix (Quit Smoking)

You wont see long term results yet. In my experience I personally would never take a brand new drug as its still in clinical trials. Once a drug has generics then its pretty much tried and tested and safe.

Unless its life threatening and there are no alternatives I would wait for a generic.

When was champix introduced? i thought it was introduced like 6 or 7 years ago.

Generics have nothing to do with tried tested and safe, it is about the time limit isn't it? so that companies can make money and then sell it cheaply.

Nope, lost my shyte on that stuff, coupled with some girl issues yea things went poorly but the drug itself works wonder, i told my client to use it, she was on it for a month and has not smoked since then.

I kinda snapped due to a g/f drinking and being other stuff and i was on it plus alcohol plus the not so legal goodies.

I don't know. I quit cold turkey a couple of months ago, but I still smoke cigars and it's causing a relapse for cigarettes whenever I drink. In any event, cigarettes are easier to quit than you think.

I've heard bad things about Champix.

Indeed all good thanx but i am not a champix stat. From jan to about june so much shyte had gone down i was bound to snap. Cannot blame champix for what happened when so many other things were too blame .

if you decide to use champix ... you have to commit to it unless your Dr decides its becoming hazardous. Stopping and starting it can be very dangerous

Why what happened? My client i recommended it to is not smoking and went off it after a month. She thinks it is a miracle drug.

What happened nivek? Thanks for the advice riax i will research it and see if it's safe to have round 2 in dec but nivek got me worried haha.

btw you mentioned snapping in one of your previous posts due to various reasons
you might want to rethink that and do some googling, after all the reading i've done today, it was very possibly caused by champix, and especially if you mixed it with alcohol

She went off first month, hasn't smoked since then, i think but i could be wrong 3-4 months now she is clean. I think the trick is avoid doing more than one month and then have the will power to stop but yea we chat pm .
