After mistakenly being bumped up to 4mbps when I signed up for WA Titan DSL Plan 1, I have been brought down to earth, and am now running at a rather more sedate 384kbps, which makes for an infuriating online experience, particularly when trying to watch streaming video.

Which ISP offers the cheapest 1mbps line rental. Bear in mind that I take home R2900 a month, so I need to make every penny count, and 4mbps just isn't an option.

Thanks

An alternative I have been considering is to cancel my internet entirely, thus saving myself R299 a month until such time as I can afford a fast line.

Wait a week or two until all the ISPs and Telkom have sorted out their new pricing.

Remember that in August your 384 will be bumped to 1024 for free. (ADSL rental and ISP).

Wise words!

Cheapest I found was RSAWEB but if I recall you're only saving R10 here and there at most between them. Worst by far is xDSL who wanted to charge me R500+ for 512........a speed that doesn't even exist anymore.
