Checking Data Usage without USSD Codes

Enjoying my experience and freedom on the 10G package (especially since an iPhone update is nearly 700mB a pop!)

Using a Huawei b970 router...
dashboard not an option as I use it as my DHCP Server/WiFi/ main central server thing.
If you use the USB connection, the ports, WiFi and so on fall away, and the PC has to be on all the time to be the router.

The B970 does not have USSD Commands on board, which means no way to ask for balance by *180* blah blah...

Is there ANY other way (apart from phoning into 180 ) to get data balance?
