Chilli sauce reviews

Intense and Red Pepper in the same sentence. Doubt. Looks quite watery almost like a Tabasco?
It's made with cayenne peppers, not tabasco. It's on the higher end in terms of vinegar notes and has a teeny tiny little bite to it. But I prefer its flavour profile to that of tabasco. I mostly use it as a carrier for concentrates.

I'm actually prepping my seedlings for the season, I like the watering texture of the above sauce but needs more heat. So I will be making my own fermented cayenne base sauce, similar vinegar levels but then raised with a mix of reapers and ghost chillies.

Jip, in my fridge. Potent stuff.View attachment 1366929
Wonder if it's hotter than Ultra Death? I've had Ultra Death before.

No, they're about the same. If you looking to push it higher you can try -
https://welovehotsauce.co.za/products/da-bomb-the-final-answer-hot-sauce-2-oz or https://welovehotsauce.co.za/products/hot-ones-hot-sauce-the-last-dab-apollo or https://welovehotsauce.co.za/products/hot-ones-hot-sauce-the-classic-pepper-x-edition

All pricey, and last two need to still be imported. But if you're a person who just uses tiny bits it will last.

Gordon Ramsay did say it tastes like acid but I wonder if it's better suited to cooking...
That's the thing most of these guys try to make nuclear sauces and then just add capsaicin extracts, issue is that it needs to be diluted in ethanol or some other alcohol which immediately imparts crap flavours.

But if I have to rank the sauces in SA tasting the worst it's anything by Johnny Hexburg, his sauces are horrendous in terms of flavour and overpriced. You can literally taste the spar curry powder he's added to the mix.

have a bottle in my fridge if anyone would like to taste - also have the Last Dab Apollo. Da Bomb does not taste nice at all - Last Dab actually has some good flavour
How's the last dab? I've been wanting to get it but if it tastes like crap the price is not justified.

da Bomb is only 135,600 Scoville.

On a side not I popped one of my ghost peppers in my mouth the other day...geeez.
