Chilli sauce reviews

That flying goose one I mentioned earlier in the thread is really good, but its not a Woolies product, they just stock it. So far, IMO the Woolies branded chillie sauces are shyte if you ask me.

They tend to err on the side of bland with their preprepared meals so their sauces following the same trend is of no surprise to me.

Received my March sub box this morning from The Sauce Shop!
To avoid spoilers for those who like surprises... rest of post in spoiler below.

My thoughts...

The Be Nice Exotic Green blend is tasty, but almost no heat, think a chunkier, oily version of green Tabasco.

The Hexburg Louisiana is a really simple vinegar/jalepeno blend, not my favourite by any means, also no heat.

The Kick-Ass Red Hot Chilli sauce is by far and away the best inclusion in this month's box, super tasty, really home-made authentic and I love anything smoked. It has a bit of heat but nothing that's going to bother any chilli head in the slightest, just lots of smokey flavour.

All in all i preferred this box much less than the February one, but I'm happy to have discovered a new love of smoked chilli sauce!

I just make my own chilli sauce now days... Currently half way through a fermented chocolate habanero sauce, really good tasting, decent heat too..

well i have no idea what they're are but they're bloody hot
i like the gay moffie stuff
like the tabasco green bottle and the chipotle bottle
Scotch Bonnets are on the vey hot scale of peppers, reapers are just insane.... So hotter than most Habanero, Habanero is much hotter than Jalapeno.

Tobasco peppers are 30k to 50k scoville

yeah i have no idea what i planted just over a year ago. I bought some chillies at Pick n Pay and used them, afterwards i let all the seeds dry out on a piece of kitchen towel paper for about 3-4 months.

i then threw all the seeds into a big pot, gave it water and walked away. Then boom, this massive chillie bush appeared and i hardly even look after this thing. At first i thought it was awesome weeds, until i saw the chillies growing on it 6 months later.

Right now its just an ornament plant on my stoep
