So I've really started using my Chromecast in the past few weeks.
It was actually plugged into the same TV as my WD TV Live, but I actually noticed that I was using the cast more often. A lot less buffering and connectivity issues than the WD TV.
But I did pick up on one thing - I had to do a reboot of the Chromecast every week or so when using Plex. Seems the player became non-responsive, even crashed while playing certain clips. It was on separate power running off a old Galaxy Charger, so it was always on.
I've now moved it to the bedroom and my new Samsung has a powered USB port, so the 'Cast boots up and shuts down with the TV (Ironically enough - using a ridiculously short Nokia USB cable. Seems there is use for old phone accessories.)
The problem seems to have gone away, but has anyone else noticed this?
