Why bother if you are getting a CCNA?

the more qualifications you can get, the better... N+ teaches you the fundamentals of networking, which i feel every IT guy should have. CCNA teaches you the specialization of Cisco switches/routers and so on.

The CCNA course still covers networking in decent detail.
If you follow the course properly and dont brain dump, you will prob be better off than most general admins in terms of networking.

It covers routing, routing protocols and layer 2 fundamentals like arp'ing etc. For me, that seems pretty decent.
