Hoping its better than the last SimCity which was a disaster imho. Lots of eye candy but the mechanics were terrible
IMO this one has both.

Great game, ended up playing until 6 this morning...
Really enjoying the game but the traffic becomes a nightmare, especially in the industrial areas...
I have zero traffic![]()
how on earth did you manage that? i had zero traffic when my city was the size of a one horse town
Problem with my cities is I spend 2 hours trying something, then the next day at work I think of new things to try -> new city, start again, repeat
I think I'm going to keep one test city at around 20k pop on which I can test new area layouts as I'm desperately trying to move away from grids!
Yeah, same with me.
I'm having luck with one way streets, but providing services for that is a schlep. The exit of the one way street looks like a spaghetti monstor with overpasses etc. I got my City up to 60k, then it bled down to 55k :/
I made a section of my city a 1way grid, 6 lane street, on some areas the traffic still piles up in just one lane, must be some kind of bug?
My rail road are starting experiencing traffic and the harbor... population almost 60k. will post some pic tonight too![]()
What I've done is create mini areas (like 5 or 6 blocks) with one way roads, and then plop services at the start of it - you get almost perfect coverage that way even if the roads dont highlight. Obviously just need a road at the end that joins back up to the start
