Out of shear irritation; I am posing this.

Is anyone fed up with the crazy amount of kak advertising that Clientele is doing at the moment? I want to puke. Especially on E-News. Look its a free market though; but geez it's irritating.

yip, every second advert on tv is for insurance, they getting like american tv now. Over the weekend they showed 3 adverts during a movie and 2 of the 3 were for Dettol products and it did not happen only once but a few times.

There is the one advert for insurance where the woman is 9 months pregnant or something and she pays so much a month yada yada, well if my math is correct she should have had that baby already.

I wish that advertisers would realise that they are making customers hate them and would not do business with them under any circumstance (due to volumously repeating the same adds) - at least a great deal of potential customers should act that way.

Clientele

I have to agree. I actually posted on WOMF yesterday. During Sunday from 09h00 t0 22h00 clientele had 97 adverts on one channel on DSTV alone. They have the one after another starting with sick people, going to sicker people, going to dead people, going to legal people and the list goes on.

You can go for a pee, make coffee, start supper and get back and they are still giving out sms numbers. I think they make millions on the fools that sms them.

I own my own graphic design and advertising agency and I know from experience that if you are in people's faces TOO MUCH you start losing business.

****, they are irritating.

It's 2018 with the introduction of OpenView and other channels.
Its now AllLife. AllLife ad for aids people funeral cover. People saying how they bought this and that. How did claim if they never die yet. Howcome they speak half English half another language.

Then its outsurance. I wonder what happen to the white guy from 1998 Dave Matthews or whatever.
Now its the black guy in the car asking how much random people saved.

And clientele is still around.. Bad as ever!!!!

There are literllay no other ads.
There's like 1 car ad the polo one.
1 vanish washing powder. Everything else is insurance ****.

When I was a kid there were furniture adverts, checkers ads, there was infirmervials for verimark and glomail. It seems verimark glomail tevo and the like lost the ad bid to insurance agencies.

Because there's multiple languages in South Africa.

Why do you think only a white guy can do the ad. The clientele (excuse the pun) is largely black so a black presenter is not out of place.

We grew up watching Clientele ads the fact that they are still going strong is perhaps testament to the effectiveness of this marketing strategy. Insurance is big business in this country.
