Coindirect - insolvent ?

I have been contacted by Nic and feel a lot more at ease now. He mentioned that the withdrawal issue is a bug that popped up late last night and that they are working around the clock to resolve it. He also mentioned that the are not insolvent as they just received a round of funding and have no liquidity issues. I will update the thread once I receive my coins.

I hope you realize and that he is lying to buy more time...a bug popping up "last night" does not explain @John Tempus issues from a while back already.

Just an update. Nic managed to resolve the issue on my wife's account. Due to us opening a fraud case at the bank the coindirect system rejected all our withdrawals. My withdrawals have been sent. Thank you Nic!

Thanks for understanding and working with us!

Excited to have you on our platform and working with you.

My friends issue is crypto withdrawals, different yours nothing ever got failed it just stays pending indefinitely.

Their statement about liquidity and getting a new round of funding is hilarious. So they got new people to deposit crypto which means now they have liquidity to process withdrawals again ?

I hate to say it but I have another theory that they waited for enough pressure and the BTC price to drop to possibly buy some new coin for some of the people withdrawing. They will need to buy a lot more coin or get a lot more depositors for my friends to get their withdrawals processed which is combined nearly 8 BTC.

My friends still trying to get their crypto withdrawn and if they are lucky enough to get it all out using this "new" liquidity then good riddance and good bye coindirect.

Seen this entire thing play out with mtgox and various other exchanges in the past so if people want to take the fall and deposit there just so my friends can get their coins withdrawn then go for it.

Just a heads up coindirect if you guys do not clear all your pending BTC withdrawals within the next week you will be getting a big court case on your hands from these guys. They dont have time to fk around further so do the right thing and make sure this "random convenient bug" does not happen anymore and process all your withdrawal backlog else you will have bigger issues to deal with.

Thanks,

How about giving me a direct phone number and address of your company and I will hand that over to them.

They have given up trying to get any sort of response out of emailing, they are not fly by night kids just hoping to get some icecream back.

So save everyone time and give me those details of your actual company, I can only find a support email on the website.

Hey John, confirming you received my DM. Looking forward to assisting!

I will pass the email you provided to them.

That still does not answer my original question to assist rest of users who might find this thread, I don't even understand why you would want to resolve this in private.

Can you post publicly your office location and a real phone number. You guys do have an office and real support number right ?

Hey John,

For security reasons, we don't post a public phone number to our office, the level of spam/scam calls we receive in a day are immense. This is relatively standard practice for exchanges to ensure customer security.

Our support team does the best they can to answer the mass of queries we receive in a day but I assure we're doing our best.

What ? Did I just read this right ?

Your public support numbers that users are suppose to use to phone for support you do not publish publicly ?

Your public address of your office you do not publish publicly ?

No sorry all other things aside this is the craziest response I have ever heard. How can you not make these details available to the public to use when they need to, is it a secret ?

How about pm'ing me these details which I would pass along to the guys who need to get in touch or is pm'ing still too public ?

I actually chuckled a bit as to your spam/scam call explanation , choked up a bit and how that at all relates to customer security is beyond logic.

Stop pm'ing me, with excuses. I will keep things in the public space except if you provide me even in pm with your public number and office address I will keep that private until we can confirm that you guys actually do exist at the given location/numbers.

The point of this thread is not a one on one conversation. This thread is to inform others and I do not appreciate the constant private messaging approach.

If you guys operate from some private residence as your office and no public number then simply say that to be the case but stop baiting me along.

Hey John,

I'm sorry if my answers aren't sufficient to satisfy your requirements.

As I've said, publicly and in the PM, if you contact our support I'll be sure to get in touch with the account holder, call them and rectify their issue. I believe this to be the safest and most secure way to resolve the query that the account holder has.

What ? Did I just read this right ?

The number is likely private.
Very few exchanges that have actual phone support / public numbers.

What I am hinting at is that these guys do not have a office space or actual phone number other than just cell number of whoever runs the show.

Their responses seem to be more copouts to avoid answer the question and still sound as if they operate a business with actual business location. I can physically go to luno office in Cape Town even though they don't specifically list it on their website they do make it known on twitter so if I had to compare operations its harder for luno to just do a vanishing act in comparison since there is a physical location that can be verified.

I was simply trying to see if they will be open about this fact but seems just more cloak and dagger.

Anyhow I will see if my friends can get their funds liquidated from coindirect and move on but I sense this is far from over I just don't see them being liquid enough to process nearly 10 BTC withdrawal requests but we shall see.
