Come home Cesc Fabregas

Humple pie for you, after dissing Busquets now you have very litte to say.

Back on the Cesc topic:

I think Arsenal and Wenger were hoping Cesc will have a good WC so that his price can go up, pity he couldnt make it into the starting 11.
This conspiracy thought crossed my mind... but I was thinking that Spain & Del Bosque (the demagogue he is) are intentionally leaving Cesc on the bench to bring his "price" down. Mind you Arsenal don't want to sell Cesc so whether or not he plays at the world cup is a non-issue. It'd be nice if he played and kept sharp but it's just a nice. Cesc's abilities are undoubted at Arsenal and the world over, so he really has nothing to prove.

Seeing that everyone else has tired of talking about Cesc Fabregas on this thread, I will keep it up

Here are a few more stats to show his abilities. The following are the number of premier league assists and in brackets the number of games played. (credit for the stats to posters on BBC's Arsenal forum, not my own so please feel free to find fault)

1. Ryan Giggs – 90 (588)
2. Frank Lampard – 81 (476)
3. Steven Gerrard – 71 (366)
4. Thierry Henry – 67 (254)
5. Francesc Fabregas – 66 (187)

Nineteen (19) of those assists came in 30 odd games in the last season. And he is only 23 years old and has recently signed a 5 year contract with the Gunners.

Now if Milner is being valued at £25m then Cesc must be at least double or £60m. Way out of Barca's league of affordability.
Don't forget Cesc scored those goals in one of his worst seasons re: fitness.

You're welcome to prove it, because I certainly don't remember having any 'choice' words on him, I remember questioning his ability, and that was all.

But of course you won't prove it, you'll hide behind your 'oh there's so many posts, why should I have to prove anything?' nonsense. Typical for you, because you live in a world where you make all the rules

I dont have time to look for all the different quotes from different users. The general feeling of some users.

I wonder who they going to cut from midfield, I mean besides Busquets, cause he's the obvious one

I'd say Busquets, Martinez, Cazorla and Mata only because I dont know them and I fail to see how they could be better than the rest of the midfield

SO PROVE THAT EVERYONE WAS INSULTING BUSQUETS FOR HIS ABILITY!

People bitched about his diving and peek-a-boo antic not for his playing ability

Midfielders: Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas (if fit), Andres Iniesta, Marcos Senna, David Silva, Xavi, Jesus Navas, Juan Mata

No Busquets fish? Is he not good enough?

Dude, that must be the dumbest idea ever. Cesc cannot break into the team due to Iniesta and Xavi.

Why is it hard to understand?

To think a national coach will have an agenda to not play a player just so his price doesnt go up in the transfer window is a ridiculous thought. Cesc isnt good enough and people need to realise that. Spain's starting 11 is the best 11 they have.

If Cesc isnt good enough why is he Barcelonas dream signing?
He would get into any team in the world

No dumber than your idea that Arsenal were hoping he'd play & drive up his price by doing well at the world cup dude. Don't get snotty here when you constantly accuse others of being childish.

Every club manager in the world hopes their players do well, so that their value can increase. The idea of Del Bosque secretly working with Barcelona, making Cesc not play is ridiculous. Can you imagine that?

You got a player better than starting midfield players but you want to keep him on the bench? People need to understand, Cesc is great but Iniesta and Xavi are better. Why on earth would you want to leave Xavi or Iniesta on the bench just so that Cesc can start?

Its the same thing when Cesc comes to Barcelona, he will warm the bench and play every other game.

Cesc is so great that he cant make it into his own national team.

Get a grip people.

Cesc is AWESOME but even the hardest of hard Arsenal supporters must admit that Xavi and Iniesta are the two best midfielders in the world.

Questioned him of course. He is a loose canon at times BUT people insult him way to harshly. I remember you having some choice words on him.

.

You mentioned me specifically, then when I ask you to prove it, you say it was the general feeling. What is wrong with you?

As usual, you don't know what you are talking about. Don't keep talking nonsense, especially if you can't prove anything you mention. Do yourself a favour and grow up.

For all those insisting that Barcelona's midfielders are better than Cesc. Here are some facts not opinions (which are so free and easy on here)

Cesc 23 goals and 19 assists in 41 starts and 4 subs.
xavi had 6 goals & 19 assists in 62 games
iniesta 1 goal 7 assists in 46 games
bisquets 1 goal 2 assists in 56 games

It has been generally reported today that Wenger has ruled out any move for Gourcuff.

"He's a player I like a lot, but we are sufficiently covered in midfield."

This confirms once again that Cesc is not going anywhere.

I specifically stated that it was a conspiracy! Do you suffer Arsene Wenger's selective vision?
And as for Cesc not being better than those other two, why don't you look at the numbers posted by GRBoy?

Edit: And Cantera I hope you witnessed once and for all that Cesc is miles better than the defender Xavi you keep hyping. In the few minutes he got at this world cup, he had the most impact and made the goal. Only Iniesta played better.

I think tonights game proves that Xavi isnt fit to tie Cesc Fabregas's shoelaces,

Xavi was mostly ineffective after the second half, and how many defence splitting passes did Cesc make?

Don't wanna comment on other players in the Spanish team, but Cesc Fabregas did come on to change the game for Spain. His quick-thinking and freshness in midfield eventually led to the World Cup winning goal.

If Barca are still interested, I'm sure they know the price by now.

PS: TF1 have let it slip that AW was to meet with Sandro Rosell at tonight's match and was to tell them him that Cesc is 100% unavailable for transfer.

He is unhappy with the way Barcelona have behaved, believing they destabilised a player with a long term contract, and will tell them that Cesc is not for sale.

Edit:

Speaking on TF1, the national French Television Station, Wenger told viewers he has spoken to the Barcelona President, Sandro Rosell, and told him in no uncertain terms that Cesc is not for sale.

Wenger was speaking as a match summariser following the World Cup Final, won by an Iniesta goal set up to perfection by the Arsenal Captain.

This news follows the report in this morning’s Sunday Times, which detailed news of a 2 Million pound property that has just been purchased by Cesc in the leafy Hertfordshire town of St Albans.

Barcelona cannot afford Cesc either. I'm sure you have all read about how they couldn't pay their players' wages in June. They are currently 380million in the red, yes they applied for a loan but it hasn't been approved yet. Also it's not just Barcelona, Spain the country is in trouble (just like the Greeks). The IMF recently visited them feuling speculation about a potential bailout. It's bad.

Amazing how people are quick to forget how Xavi and Iniesta led Spain to the final.

I guess people see what they only want to see.

Best midfield in the world = Xavi + Iniesta.
