Computer issues, I need an expert

Hi all

I was camping this weekend with the family. Thanks for all the tips and sorry for only seeing them now.

I went through the list of posts chronologically and decided to try them all.

When I got to @capd 's post, I checked to see if fast startup was enabled. It was disabled by default so I just thought let's try to enable it and see what happens. Did a shut down via start menu and now it shuts down. Tried also with the power button and also works now. I will keep trying and see if the change sticks.

Thanks so much for everyone's time. Really appreciate it.

Just for your information:

1 - Fresh windows install didn't work.
2 - I upgraded power supply which also didn't change anything.

Have a great day and thanks again to everyone.

This is strange, fast startup is enabled in windows 10/11 by default and i would assume fast startup being enabled would cause this more than it being disabled.
How a fresh install didn't fix it is also strange.

Agree, first thing I do is powercfg /h off.

Also have to agree on point 2.

Usually a PC works for some time before doing this kak.
