Everyone up again? (Randburg working again)... Must have been a glitch in the matrix.

Mine is working now thanx to Murphy, as the law dictates I just had to go buy Vodacom Air time to make Cell-C service come back for me. :)

It goes up and down for me. If I'm really lucky, it will stay connected for 2-3 hours, other than that, no good. Getting really frustrating!!!!

Intermittant connection issues.

Is anybody else here experiencing intermittant connection problems on Cell C? I find that frequently I am connected and it will work fine for a while but then suddenly I am unable to connect to any website even though the Cell C connection is still active. If I then disconnect and re-connect it usually (but not always) fixes the problem.

When this happens, are you able to visit www.cellc.co.za ?

Same story in EL

Still very much a problem in EL

Cell C Tech advised an increase in signal strength would do the job. Went and got the Poynting dongle and antenna - now it's -65dbm from -75dbm.

Struggles to connect -> error 628 and 619. When I do connect, sites load fine for a minute or so and then dead - no throughput. Trying the disconnect route results in struggling to establish a connection even thought the signal is excellent.

Took the sim out, put it into my phone, rang the number and then put the sim back into the modem. Connected with no problems.

This was not an issue in the last 4 months that I had the speed stick.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

So when the connection goes dead you are still able to go to www.cellc.co.za ?

Will try that tonight and report back.

Good Day Mr M

Please can you PM with you data sim number.
if you can go to Cell C site means either your bundle not loaded, or out of data.
i will check for you.

Regards

And still a problem in EL - can't connect to Cell C site either.
Interesting side note - when I am connected and there is throughput, I can call the sim number and it will ring.
however
When I am connected and there is no throughput, calling the number results in a voice message saying subscriber is unavailable.

If you cannot access www.cellc.co.za then please don't post in Still connected but only able to access Cell C website.

See here:
If you experience this problem, try going to http://www.cellc.co.za , if that works but you are unable to access other sites, post in this thread.

If you cannot access the Cell-C website either, post in this thread with all the relevant details.
