I'm normally of the 'Wait for Service Pack 1' School of operating systems.
Leave the initial heartache and trouble for masochists with the time and inclination for it.
But - for once - I relented (My wife likes the Metro Layout and color scheme) and installed Windows 8 on my HTPC. Everything works fine - still getting used to the interface, even my Media Center Package installed without problems.
But...
Installing anything at the moment is like dating a extremely conservative girl - getting consent is a massive headache. Because consent.exe keeps on crashing. Yes - the screen that comes up as a safeguard to ask if you are sure you want to do something - pop up, then disappears faster then Kaiser Sosse.
A reboot usually fixes it for a while - until the next time I need to install something. Anyone else seen this?
