I spoke to an MTN call centre consultant and it seems that the only way to transfer ownership of an MTN contract is for both parties to visit a store. Has anyone done this recently?
Would it be possible for the current and new owner to visit different stores to complete the paperwork required?

It seems very archaic since the contract was originally done online.

I've done a few transfers a few years back from my dads name to my name. All I needed was a letter from him along with forms for him to complete + his ID. It's been a 2-3 years so the process could have changed.

Mtn makes a mountain out of a molehill.

Its a doable thing. Just get the 2 consultants from each store to talk to one another and have copies of the contract on hand for less runaround. Its just a matter of signing papers, but mtn manages to screw this up.

Note the one giving up the contract will loose the mobile number
