Also expierincing a slight jump in latency since today. About 10-20ms on AWS Capture.PNG

@PBCool what does an ISP see when a user makes use of DOT (DNS over TLS)? Also curious about DNSSEC
Well the ISP on the surface would just see src dst IP and src dst port, very much the same as a regular DNS query. The difference is if the packets are intercepted then the plain query can be unpacked with revealing info. Whereas over TLS would be encrypted data.

Hi @PBCool Any updates to my ticket. Been more than 2 weeks now of constant disconnects and I keep getting told Frogfoot will send someone out but again I'm sitting with an extremely frustrated family having to restart the router 10 times a day to get the internet back on.

I cannot even escalate to Frogfoot myself as they flat out refuse to speak to me.

Hi @PBCool This looks like it may be sorted. Frogfoot sent around a tech yesterday around 9AM and replaced the ONT after they did the work last Friday. Checked router logs last night and again this morning. No PPP drops :)

Just want to say a massive thanks for the support in getting this resolved.

Hope it's permanently resolved! Keep an eye on it and let me know.

Just an fyi those are html pings, my ping on there vs in game (Fortnite) was like 12ms difference i was getting 142ms in game and like 150 odd on there
Fornite's in game ping is broken. IIRC they take 80% or 90% of actual becos apparently the game has more processing overhead on higher pings... LOL

Hi

I wanted to ask if anybody else on Vumatel trenched in Durban has a problem with video and pictures not loading in Facebook? Seems to happen quite often.

Had some packet loss in overwatch and apex last night as well Cape Town Vuma trenched was not for very long and was not consistent

This has been an interesting issue and seems to be relative to the facebook caching services, I had it with both Vodacom and Telkom mobile the other day, we are going to not use IS' caching appliance and see if this helps.

No losses on the international last night so something on the partner network possibly.

Considering changing to Cool Ideas, a bit specific but can anyone here comment on EU latency of Cool Ideas on SADV in Cape Town? What could I expect?

I am Cool Ideas + Vumatel and get:

159ms in Overwatch
Apex to London 142ms
Dota 2 local is 17ms to JHB and EU is like 151 & Brazil is 141 in Dota 2

Speedtest to Coreix London is always around 141-145ms
