Copying an audio CD

You'd need to download CD burning software and then copy the CD it'll copy the CD to ram and burn it to it disk.
Back WHen I still had CD writers. YOu just copy the Files to HDD, Copy and paste to blank CD right click and select burn . Windows had burn capabilities later on. and it auto closed the CD/DVD.

My XP never had a CD key. It was compiled in the install files....
Yeah, that was also possible. The version I had needed the key.

I was still studying back then and lived on campus. Since I was the only one in my circle of friends studying IT, I was their "PC guy". I probably did 100's of reinstalls. The key was written on the disc itself and since you had to leave the CD in the drive, I ended up memorising it.

Some IT students had a Go at it. We had Legit windows Profesional Instalations all the way from Win 98 to Win 7. Then 10 Came out and we just got KMS instead.

And before every LAN a reinstall was Mandatory with Cleaning space for new Content. There was no internet.

Jisis this used to piss me off to no end.

Burn an audio CD with some nice jams on...

Forget to finalize, then you get into the car and the ****ing CD can't be read by the car's front loader
How do you finalize? Windows just closes but doesn't finalize

my 2009 merc still has a 6 cd player - I tried to burn some more music but it would not play
1990's technology, many just fit an MP3 playing CD changer from 2010
instead of a 1990's CD autochanger.

or better yet, get one of these and play music off your phone and skip the 1990s tech,

true, the buttons on the steering wheel wont do anything but at least its cheap way, instead of ripping out the stereo.

You said the CD could play? That means its finalised already
Tried playing it on the PC just to check it all copied.
It shows there is still free space on the CD as well, so this means it's not finalized?

Yes, then it's not finalised and won't work in a CD player until it is. Not sure what software you're using so you'll have to google how to do it.

What software would you recommend?
Hopefully freeware.

I used the Windows media player.

Bru, I probably burnt a CD 10 - 12 years ago so I have no idea.

I used to use Nero Burning Rom back then. I don't know what's the best and freeware nowadays.
