If I put an Enzo motor in my corsa it is not an Enzo.

You do not drive a gt500.
You drive a car that has a gt500 motor in it (apparently)

Just to further clear something up: the last Ford Mustang GT500 (prior to modern ones of today) was made in 1969. You don't have a 196* Ford Mustang GT500 - and you most certainly don't have a 2007/8 GT500. You have a 199* Ford Mustang GT - big difference.

Like I said shows you what you know bobbymac!! in 1996 ford brought out the Mustang cobra R wich was later named the GT500. ive only had the car for 2 years now. The previous owner did the engin transplant on it. I know that my car is a 5,7 litre 325bhp Mustang i'll say Gt just to get you to shut up cause your presence is irritating me!! mine just hasn't got the body kit on it!!

Nonsense. No Ford Mustang post 1970 and Pre 2007 was ever referred to as a GT500.

What does having the car prove.

Mustangs like Bobbymac has stated from 1970'ish to 2007/2008 were NEVER referred to as GT500's. You are wrong, and if you believe otherwise, you need to brush up on your Mustang history.

saleen's all i could afford. It's a 1983 model, with the 900hp biodiesel motor. Will post pics when i get home.
 
Is it a GT500? I say yes and no, the fact that there was no GT500 in that shape is why I answer no, but there are a Cobra version FR500 which follows from heritage from the GT500 which uses the 5.8L V8 engine which makes sense why he would want to call it a GT500...

Well, no, because the engine in there was bored up to 5.7L - so it's not a standard GT500 motor in there either.
