Crazy driving on public roads

stupid question...wich road would i drive from the east rand? quikest way 2 get there.

Incorrect. The length of an average school athletics field is just under 120 meters. The track is measured to go around in 400 meters. But, you do know everything :rolleyes:

Late reply, but that's exactly what I'm saying. Advanced drivers won't speed on public roads.
 
I'm not trying to justify Jason's driving habits but speed is not the main culprit when it comes to fatal road accidents in SA. The combination of speed and unroadworthy vehicles as well as poor road conditions and unlicensed drivers is what leads to fatal accidents. Speeding alone does not constitute reckless driving.

Before we crusify Jason for his driving habits let us consider that Germany with its autobahn has very few fatal road accidents. Evidence perhaps that speed alone is not the main culprit. In fact defective tyres is probably the greatest threat to any motorist.

Just a thought...

Ahhh, the Autobahn argument! Was wondering when someone would try and bring that one into the debate.

Edit: So, in closing, the key difference is: Elsewhere where high speed is permitted, the people are enforced to participate responsibly. In South Africa - responsibility is for the birds.

I was going to say the G-Wiz, a road legal. But it's top speed is 70 km/h

Man arrested for knocking down two pedestrians
A man has been arrested in Soshanguve outside Pretoria for allegedly knocking over two women, killing one of them, before trying to flee with the dead pedestrian's body.

It's understood the two women were walking next to a road when the unlicensed driver apparently drove his minibus taxi into them this morning.

The Mozambican national then tried to load the woman's body into his vehicle, ostensibly to literally remove the evidence from the scene.

I've been on a few advanced driving courses, even been around a race track a few times. One theme that is constantly kept in fashion is you cannot for second think that anyone on the road has as much training as you have, thus if you're doing crazy speeds on public roads you're going to come short sooner than later. It's simply idiotic to think that just because you know how to handle over-steer going through that 4 way junction that the poor Joe-Soap at the other traffic light is going to know how to handle your reactions.

Ultimate truth is this:
There is a limit on the speed you my travel on the road. This is Law. You are willingly going out to break the law. Early mornings/conditions/planning wont make it any less illegal.
 
At least 10 people have died in a major early morning accident on the Mabopane highway, north of Pretoria.

It's understood a truck rammed into the back of a bus near the Hebron off-ramp.

Emergency workers are still trying to cut people out of the wreckage.

Netcare 911's Mark Stokoe says eight people have been injured, four of them including a five-year-old child, seriously.

Stokoe says only one lane is open, north of the highway.
