Cricket : India vs SA - 2008

I would venture to say they let a few young uns run amok on there as well just to scuff it up some more.

Biff won the toss *yeah* , Kumble out injured. S.A. elected to bat 4/0 in first over.

20/0 after 4 overs.

I like reading this :

3.3 Sharma to McKenzie, FOUR, that's a short ball which doesn't bounce, McKenzie has enough time to wait on the front foot and pull the ball from outside off stump past mid-on for another boundary
3.2 Sharma to McKenzie, FOUR, a full ball swings into McKenzie who stays in his crease and pushes hard at the ball, it straightens a little off the pitch and the outside edge flies past third slip to the third man boundary

It feels like the indian plan for the test relies on them
a) having two spinners
b) winning the toss.

So far, things are not going according to plan for them. :)

I think we should make a real effort to bat as long as possible and set as high a score as possible in the first innings (I guess that's pretty obvious :p) - so that we don't need to bat again. If we can bat the first two days, then leave three days to get twenty Indian wickets on a crumbling pitch - thus proving to India that karma can be a bitch. :)

good morning
hello reception
hello sir
um...you're showing supersport7 when there is cricket on
cricket?

Chalwa is the 2nd youngest player to represent India in tests after tendulkar, it is also his home turf.

and mckenzie is his second test victim

should he get another wicket it will be his career best

How is a ball short and doesnt bounce? lol

or is my brain to asleep to grasp that one?

If the pitch is crap then the ball won't bounce, even though the bowler dug it in deep, hence a short ball that doesn't bounce. The pitch looked like it was full of cracks when I had a quick glance on the telly this morning.
